Project
Property Hulshorst
Zandhuisweg 67, Hulshorst
(municipality of Nunspeet)
In 1990, Simone Blom, the founder of the foundation, bought a plot of land in Hulshorst on behalf of the foundation, intended for the construction of a villa/country house, where fellow sufferers could receive expert advice and practical help. Because the activities of the foundation in the years after the purchase mainly focused on direct aid to victims of errors in medical care, the realization of the construction of the villa was delayed. Shortly before her death, the founder told her brother about the existence of the property and asked him to take on the task of realizing the construction of the villa after her death.
In August 2019, the foundation board, together with Simone's brother, went to the municipality of Nunspeet to inquire about the current rules regarding the construction of a villa on its plot. To their great shock and disappointment, it was made clear to them that the destination had recently been irrevocably changed to Nature and Landscape. A message regarding a change of destination has never been received by the board. Since August 2019, the board has set itself the goal of changing the purpose of the plot to its original purpose, so that it can still build a villa there, where clients, helped by the tranquility of the natural environment and certain therapies, can recover.
